Abberley Woods is situated in the picturesque village of Great Shelford, just four miles from Cambridge city centre.
With a population of approximately 4,000, the village of Great Shelford can be traced back to around 400 AD and features in the Doomsday Book. Today the village tastefully combines Victorian and Edwardian properties with smaller dwellings and more modern estates. Great Shelford sits nestled amongst surrounding fields which climb up the chalk slopes towards the trust-managed Gog Magog hills, but has equally developed towards Cambridge's city boundaries.
