Charles Reilly
After formal education, Charles set up his own business in the motor industry in Cavan in 1980. He grew this business and successfully traded for 14 years until he sold the business in 1994. This sale was prompted by his establishment (together with Sean Reilly) of a residential development business based in Cavan at that time. This business has actively traded since 1993 and has since expanded beyond Cavan. It has successfully developed 350 new residential units in Cavan, 63 in Portarlington and 84 units in Ratoath.
In 2003, Charles was appointed Managing Director of the Contracting business within the McGarrell Reilly Group. Since then he has delivered over 200 new residential units annually (until this current downturn). In 2006 Charles set up the residential operation on the ground in the UK. This business is now successfully operating in the UK and pursuing new business opportunities. In 2009, Charles moved to the position of Director for the Residential Division of McGarrell Reilly. In these challenging times Charles focus is on being fully in tune with the market on the ground, keeping the business lean and flexible and delivering to the customers’ expectations.
