Headed a Finance Section within an AIM listed company in London for 1 year responsible for a team operating the financial management of a series of BES companies. This involved managing the financial affairs of these companies and reporting to and presenting to board meetings of these companies.

Returned to Dublin as Financial Controller for entrepreneur with large portfolio of businesses in leisure industry in Ireland and UK including pubs, restaurants, nightclubs, hotel and The Gaiety Theatre. Was centrally involved in and had responsibility for the financial and administrative implementation of setting up UK operation, purchase and sale of businesses, structuring bank finance and implementing structures and standards in financial reporting and administration.

For the past 15 years worked with McGarrell Reilly Group from Financial Controller, Financial Director and more recently CEO. Throughout that time was central to building the structures and systems for the business, expanding the operations within Ireland, setting up operations in UK and Germany, business, financial and tax planning. In 2007, carried out a full internal restructure to streamline the management structures within the Group. Built the management strength to have specialist teams in our core competencies and provide the synergies to set the capabilities of McGarrell Reilly Group apart from others in the industry. Opening successful operations in the UK and Germany markets have been the more notable recent achievements.
